TKH 5374 of 1959 is a Fablok built steam locomotive. It arrived here at the Plym Valley Railway in November 2016 after a change in ownership and subsequent move from the Northampton and Lamport Railway where the locomotive was known as 'Vanguard'. The locomotive worked at a steelworks in Poland ‘Huta Ostrowiec’ alongside TKh 4015 ‘Karel’ which is also preserved in the UK at the Avon Valley Railway. During the 8 year long overhaul of the locomotive, the idea was created to paint it in unusual colours with the aim of raising funds for a charity. Oliver’s name was instantly mentioned and the wheels started to turn creating a plan that would create a lasting and powerful legacy. Now in traffic at the Plym Valley Railway, the locomotive was launched on what would have been Oliver's 17th birthday and was touchingly rededicated 'Lord Oliver Brown' a title Oliver had bestowed upon himself whilst in hospital. photos credit to D.
